Moulin Rouge! The Musical Netherlands logo

We were delighted to license Moulin Rouge! The Musical to Stage Entertainment in the Netherlands, bringing the splendour and romance to Utrecht for the first time. The production premiered at the Beatrix Theatre on 19 September 2024, marking the eighth instalment of Moulin Rouge! The Musical around the world.

With a history working at Stage Entertainment, it was especially meaningful for Global Creatures CEO and Producer Carmen Pavlovic to reconnect with the company through this partnership. The show is performed in Dutch with the iconic pop hits sung in English and has been embraced by audiences from the very first curtain rise.  We’re overjoyed by the love and support Moulin Rouge! The Musical has received from the Netherlands.

A theatrical scene from Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Netherlands production). Center stage is the character Harold Zidler, wearing a red velvet tailcoat with gold buttons, a gold-and-black patterned vest, striped pants, and holding a black top hat and cane. He is surrounded by performers in elaborate cabaret-style costumes—corsets, fishnets, top hats, and feathers—set against a dark background with dramatic red lighting.

"As a total experience, this Dutch adaptation, like the Broadway version, comes close to perfection."
