We were delighted to license Moulin Rouge! The Musical to Stage Entertainment in the Netherlands, bringing the splendour and romance to Utrecht for the first time. The production premiered at the Beatrix Theatre on 19 September 2024, marking the eighth instalment of Moulin Rouge! The Musical around the world.
With a history working at Stage Entertainment, it was especially meaningful for Global Creatures CEO and Producer Carmen Pavlovic to reconnect with the company through this partnership. The show is performed in Dutch with the iconic pop hits sung in English and has been embraced by audiences from the very first curtain rise. We’re overjoyed by the love and support Moulin Rouge! The Musical has received from the Netherlands.
Stage Entertainment is a leading global theatre production company focused on producing musicals in Europe. They own and operate a network of sixteen theatres across the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, and Italy, including the Beatrix Theatre – home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the Netherlands. Stage Entertainment produce renowned musicals by international partners as well as their own original content. It has been a joy to work with the Stage Entertainment Netherlands team on this production. Their success is a true reflection of the talent, passion, and hard work their teams bring to the table.
