We are seeking skilled and experienced Touring Crew to join the Australian Production Team for the up-coming new production: Stage Management, Technician/Mechanists, Automation, Flys, Props, Lighting, Sound, Wigs, Hair and Make-up and Wardrobe staff.
Reporting directly to the Company Manager, the Touring Crew (Heads of Department and Deputy Heads of Department) will manage the day-to-day running of the production. You will uphold the company’s commitment to its values, culture and its people by promoting an inclusive, safe and healthy workplace while ensuring that the production is delivered to the highest standard.
To be successful in a Touring Crew role you must have experience in commercial musical theatre touring, personal drive and initiative with the ability to work as part of a team to facilitate all aspects of running the production.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
| Management and Supervision for the day-to-day running of technical production matters. |
| Coordination and supervision of the department to the highest professional standards. |
| Create and maintain accurate production documentation. |
| Liaise with venue, production and technical staff to ensure that technical production requirements are met. |
| Ensure the safety and well-being of all company members during rehearsals and performances. |
| Attend HOD, WHS, production, scheduling and other meetings as required. |
| Manage all team members and create, weekly call sheets, schedules and rosters. |
| Ensure that the production runs as it was rehearsed. |
| Experience in departmental management of touring first class commercial musical theatre. |
| Demonstrated departmental technical skills. |
| Excellent leadership and people management skills and experience. |
| Written and verbal communication skills. |
| Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and self-manage. |
