About the Job

Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Company Manager will be the link between the Producer’s office and the production team, the company and the venue. The Company Manager will lead the CM team in the day-to-day management of the production. You will uphold the company’s commitment to its values, culture and its people by promoting an inclusive, safe and healthy workplace.

To be successful in this collaborative role you must have extensive company management experience in commercial musical theatre touring, personal drive and initiative. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently to assist in the management of all aspects of the production.

Key responsibilities


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Day-to-day management of the company and of the production.
Coordination of communications between management and all production departments.
Management of employees’ contractual rights and obligations.
Management of HR issues in conjunction with the Executive Producer and Head of HR.
Oversight of company payroll.
Implementation of the company’s WHS and employment policies.
Management of workers’ compensation claims and return to work plans.
Management of general well-being and company physiotherapy requirements.
Coordinate and attend meetings as required.
Attendance at and management of publicity and marketing calls.
Management of company ticketing and house seat needs.
Represent the Producer as required.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Extensive experience in company management of first class commercial musical theatre.
Sound leadership and people management skills and experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong administrative skills.
Sound understanding of theatrical award and enterprise agreements.
Sound understanding of theatrical payroll management.
Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and self-manage.
