Reporting directly to the Company Manager, the Stage Manager will lead the SM team to manage the day-to-day running of the production. You will uphold the company’s commitment to its values, culture and its people by promoting an inclusive, safe and healthy workplace while ensuring that the production is delivered to the highest standard.
To be successful in this collaborative role you must have extensive stage management experience in commercial musical theatre touring, personal drive and initiative. You must have the ability to work as part of a team to facilitate all aspects of the running of the production.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
| Management of the day-to-day running of all production matters. |
| Coordination and supervision of the stage management team to the highest professional standards. |
| Maintain accurate production documentation. |
| Liaise with venue, production and technical staff to ensure that production requirements are met. |
| Ensure the safety and well-being of all company members during rehearsals and performances. |
| Attend HOD, WHS, production, scheduling and other meetings as required. |
| Manage all cast and crew daily, weekly call sheets, schedules and rosters. |
| Ensure that the production runs as it was rehearsed. |
| Extensive experience in stage management of first class commercial musical theatre. |
| Sound leadership and people management skills and experience. |
| Strong written and verbal communication skills. |
| Strong administrative skills. |
| An understanding of theatrical awards and enterprise agreements. |
| Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and self-manage. |
