The Associate Producer will work with and support the Executive Producer in the oversight of the creative, financial, and operational activities of the production. The production team will be responsible for achieving the strategic, commercial and creative objectives set by Global Creatures (the Producer) while safeguarding the artistic vision and ensuring the production is delivered to the highest standard.
To be successful in this role you must have production experience in commercial musical theatre touring, strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative approach and ability to take direction whilst also having the ability to work independently. The Associate Producer will set a workplace tone that is welcoming and respectful and reflective of the Producer’s core values and ‘Commitment to Culture’.
The role of the Associate Producer includes but is not limited to supporting the Executive Producer in the day-to-day management of the following:
| Relationship and stakeholder management. |
| Finance: budgeting and budget management. |
| HR, WHS and EDI: implementation of company policies and procedures. |
| Casting, audition and rehearsal management. |
| Communications, Marketing, Publicity and Ticketing. |
| Special Event management: publicity calls, appearances, opening nights etc. |
| Regular reporting to the Producer. |
| Administration: meetings: scheduling, immigration, insurance etc. |
| Support of the Associate, Resident and Production Management teams as required. |
| Any other duties as instructed by the Executive Producer from time to time. |
| Production experience in first class commercial musical theatre. |
| Sound leadership and people management. |
| Demonstrated financial management. |
| Strong written and verbal communication. |
| Confident presentation and negotiation. |
| Sound understanding of theatrical award and enterprise agreements. |
| Sound understanding of theatrical payroll management. |
| Ability to prioritize and self-manage. |
| Ability to act as a general ambassador for Global Creatures and Moulin Rouge! The Musical. |
