Richard Coopey joined Global Creatures in 2022 and oversees the marketing and communications for all Global Creatures’ productions in the West End, UK and Europe, including supporting the marketing teams of licenced productions.
Richard has over 20 years of experience in marketing theatre and entertainment and before joining Global Creatures, including as Director of Marketing and Communications at the Almeida Theatre. Prior to this Richard was also an Account Director at the West End marketing agency Dewynters and a Marketing Advisor at British Film Institute (BFI).
Richard loves a broad range of theatre, dance and arts – but one of his favourite musicals is Spring Awakening and he was very proud to have worked on the 2021 London revival directed by Rupert Goold at the Almeida.
Thom has worked at Global Creatures since June 2022. In his role he works closely with the marketing team, overseeing the sales strategy for productions in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Previously he has had roles at AKA and Immersive Everywhere, but began working in the world of ticketing in a West End box office. He loves too many musicals to pick a favourite, but Cabaret and Saucy Jack & The Space Vixens are definitely up there.
Joining in Spring 2024, Matilda is the latest addition to the Global Creatures UK team as its Marketing Manager. Matilda supports the delivery of marketing campaigns for productions across the UK and Europe, including Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the West End, on tour, and its licensed productions in Germany and the Netherlands.
With nearly a decade of arts marketing experience spanning both subsidised and commercial sectors, Matilda is passionate about creating campaigns with meaningful impact. One of her favourite performances is Lost Dog’s Paradise Lost (lies unopened beside me), a contemporary dance retelling of Milton’s epic poem, which is much better than it sounds.
Alex Contras joined the London office in 2021 after completing degrees in theatre, film, and television studies. As Marketing Coordinator, Alex supports the Marketing Directors and Managers in delivering cohesive, impactful campaigns, with a focus on UK and European projects.
He’s also an enthusiastic contributor to internal communications such as newsletters and intranet posts, helping keep the team connected and informed. Alex’s favourite musical is Hairspray.
