Emma Talbot joined Global Creatures as a Senior Lawyer in 2019 and was appointed Head of Legal and Business Affairs in 2022. She is a corporate and commercial lawyer with expertise in media and entertainment law, having advised clients across live performance and theatre, film, television and music industries, in her role at a leading entertainment law film.
Emma has a love of the performing arts and live performance and has been lucky to advise clients such as producers, theatre owners and creatives on a broad range of matters. Other clients Emma has acted for include leading Australian film and television producers and investors, artists, celebrities, international music labels, creative agencies, art galleries, theatre owners, and owners of iconic brands including in the fashion and FMCG industries.
In advising the above clients Emma has provided specialist advice in the area of intellectual property regarding the protection, commercialisation and exploitation of products and services across copyright, trade marks and designs laws. Emma also has corporate law experience having advised on matters under the Corporations Act as well as consumer law matters, and conducted mergers, acquisitions and divestments of brands and companies.
Emma is admitted to practice in NSW and holds a Bachelor of Laws and Journalism.
Varsha Premkumar joined Global Creatures as Senior Legal Counsel in May 2024. As part of the Legal and Business Affairs team, Varsha assists with the acquisition and management of intellectual property for all productions and provides support on all legal and business affairs aspects of the day-to-day operations.
Varsha was admitted to practise law in New South Wales in 2018. Before joining Global Creatures, Varsha honed her skills in commercial law at boutique firm Blueprint Law, specializing in theatre and film production legals, film/television financing, IP commercialisation and other general commercial matters across the entertainment and technology industries. She loves the blend of pop music and history on stage in musicals like SIX.
Ace Pecenpetelovski joined Global Creatures in October 2024. As Legal Counsel, Ace provides legal services and advice across all relevant areas of legal practice at Global Creatures.
Before he joined Global Creatures, Ace worked with some of Australia’s largest media and entertainment organisations, most recently as Legal Counsel with the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and before that as Business Affairs Executive at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC); as well as in private practice at Quest Legal, specialising in Commercial and Intellectual Property Law. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Ace either on the tennis court or at the theatre, with his favourite musicals being Jersey Boys, Kinky Boots and Ghost the Musical (he couldn’t choose just one).
