Carmen Pavlovic – Founder, CEO and Producer at Global Creatures

CEO and Producer

Carmen Pavlovic is the CEO of Global Creatures, which she founded with Gerry Ryan OAM.

Throughout the 1990’s, Carmen’s career spanned various theatre companies including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Really Useful Company (Australia). In 2001 Carmen relocated to London and took up the role of Executive Producer at Clear Channel Entertainment. Later she became Director of the International Production Department for Stage Entertainment, responsible for establishing new territories for the company (including Russia, Italy and France), licensing and programming of 25 theatres across Europe, and overseeing productions in the UK, Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Spain and Russia.

For Stage Entertainment, Carmen was the International Executive Producer of the European premiere of Dirty Dancing in Germany and subsequently Holland, the Russian speaking productions of Cats and Mamma Mia! (the first open-ended musicals in Moscow), the German-speaking production of Wicked; the Spanish-speaking production of The Producers; the French-speaking productions of Sam Mendes’ Cabaret at the prestigious Folies Bergere and The Lion King at the Mogodor Theatre in Paris.

In 2008, Carmen returned to Australia and co-founded Global Creatures for which she has produced original works Walking with Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular, How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular, King Kong, Strictly Ballroom The Musical, Muriel’s Wedding The Musical and Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

Nick Hart – Chief Operating Officer at Global Creatures

Nick Hart joined Global Creatures as Head of Legal and Business Affairs in 2011 and was appointed a Director in 2019 and Chief Operating Officer in 2021.

Nick manages the commercial activities and business operations of the Global Creatures group. He oversees the Finance, Human Resources, and Legal and Business Affairs departments and has worked extensively on the rights, legal and commercial aspects behind all Global Creatures shows.

Prior to joining, Nick practised extensively as a lawyer across the media, entertainment and technology sectors, both in-house and for prominent international and specialist law firms. After training at international firm Slaughter and May in London and Singapore, Nick worked at leading music and entertainment firm Bray & Krais in London. He joined Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Really Useful Group as in-house counsel, before moving to Sydney to become Special Counsel at Truman Hoyle (now part of Bird & Bird) specialising in IP, technology and commercial law. He joined boutique firm Blueprint Law as a Director and Principal and established its theatre and live events practice.

Nick has a MA in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, where he also worked over a five-year period at the Edinburgh Fringe. Nick is a director of Authors’ Legal, a non-profit law firm providing specialised advice to Australian authors and illustrators. A favourite live show is Lazarus, in line with Nick’s love for David Bowie’s songs and performances.

Ronen Ghosh – Chief Financial Officer at Global Creatures

Ronen Ghosh joined Global Creatures as CFO in July 2023 and has responsibility for the Group’s Corporate and Production Finance functions.

Ronen has worked in the entertainment industry for more than 25 years having held senior finance roles internationally in music publishing and recorded music rights management with blue-chip organisations including Alberts, BMG and Universal. A passionate supporter of live entertainment, Ronen is a director of City Recital Hall Limited, a world-class purpose-built performance venue in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

Ronen is a Chartered Accountant, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of New South Wales. Ronen’s favourite musical is West Side Story, and his favourite play is Stereophonic.

Angela Dalton – Head of Production at Global Creatures

Angela joined Global Creatures in 2009 as General Manager for Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular and has since held key roles across the company’s full slate of productions. With experience spanning both marketing and production, she has been instrumental in the development and delivery of every Global Creatures show to date. In 2020, Angela was appointed to the newly created role of Head of Production, where she oversees the delivery of the company’s large-scale theatrical projects across Australia and internationally, and has served as the international Executive Producer on many of Global Creatures’ major productions.

Before joining Global Creatures, Angela built a distinguished career in theatre with companies such as SEL (The Producers), IMG (Miss Saigon, Oliver!), and Cameron Mackintosh’s Australian office (Cats, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, and Rent), establishing herself as a respected leader in live entertainment production.

Richard Martin – Head of Technical Production at Global Creatures

Richard Martin joined Global Creatures as Technical Director in February 2012 and was appointed Head of Technical Production in March 2024.

Richard’s technical theatre career commenced in 1979 where he spent 11 years with Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House. Richard subsequently joined Cameron Mackintosh as Technical Manager touring throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa over a ten-year period. Richard launched Martin Production in 1999. Following this, Richard has been the Technical Director and Supervisor of numerous major theatrical productions and arena events over six continents, through the world’s major cities, including in the West End and on Broadway.

Richard’s theatre credits include: Cats, Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Five Guys Named Moe, Miss Saigon, Rent, Aspects of Love, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Slava’s Snowshow, Singin’ In The Rain, Saturday Night Fever, Cabaret, Oliver!, Pippin, Company, Spamalot, Dirty Dancing, The Lion King, High School Musical Live Onstage, Mary Poppins, Hairspray, Wicked, Love Never Dies, King Kong Live Onstage, Strictly Ballroom The Musical, The Beast, My Fair Lady, We Will Rock You, Wizard of Oz, Muriel’s Wedding The Musical, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, The Lion King International Tour, Hamilton, 9 to 5 The Musical, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, and &Juliet.

Richard’s event and arena credits include: 50th Anniversary of the Snowy Mountains Scheme, Opening and Closing Ceremonies for Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, The Boy From Oz Arena Tour, Shanghai World Expo 2010 Opening Ceremony, Walking With Dinosaurs, Tourism Australia’s USA campaign launch New York, White Night 2017 Melbourne & Ballarat. Richard continues to manage and develop productions as Head of Technical Production for Global Creatures.

Without a doubt Richard’s favourite musical is Les Misérables, but one of his most memorable theatrical experiences, whilst not in a theatre, was doing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, both of which were presented on a theatrical creative.

Emma Talbot – Head of Legal and Business Affairs at Global Creatures

Emma Talbot joined Global Creatures as a Senior Lawyer in 2019 and was appointed Head of Legal and Business Affairs in 2022. She is a corporate and commercial lawyer with expertise in media and entertainment law, having advised clients across live performance and theatre, film, television and music industries, in her role at a leading entertainment law film.

Emma has a love of the performing arts and live performance and has been lucky to advise clients such as producers, theatre owners and creatives on a broad range of matters. Other clients Emma has acted for include leading Australian film and television producers and investors, artists, celebrities, international music labels, creative agencies, art galleries, theatre owners, and owners of iconic brands including in the fashion and FMCG industries.

In advising the above clients Emma has provided specialist advice in the area of intellectual property regarding the protection, commercialisation and exploitation of products and services across copyright, trade marks and designs laws. Emma also has corporate law experience having advised on matters under the Corporations Act as well as consumer law matters, and conducted mergers, acquisitions and divestments of brands and companies.

Emma is admitted to practice in NSW and holds a Bachelor of Laws and Journalism.

Judy Fuccilli – Head of Human Resources at Global Creatures

Judy joined Global Creatures and the entertainment industry in 2008. With a background in Human Resource Management, Judy relishes combining her profession with her love of the theatre. Judy plays a vital role in supporting Global Creatures’ international productions by partnering closely with local teams to create welcoming, inclusive workplaces that embody the company’s values. She also provides ongoing support to internal corporate teams, ensuring HR practices and workplace culture align across the entire organisation.

Judy works closely with Austin Rivers, Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Moulin Rouge! The Musical, collaborating on EDI initiatives that foster meaningful progress across the company’s projects and culture. Judy has worked on Global Creatures’ Broadway, West End and Australian productions of Moulin Rouge! The Musical and Australian productions of Muriel’s Wedding The Musical, Strictly Ballroom The Musical, King Kong, War Horse, Walking with Dinosaurs – Arena Spectacular and How to Train Your Dragon – The Arena Spectacular.

Head of International Affairs of Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Simone Twiss joined Global Creatures in June 2023 as Head of International Affairs of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, overseeing commercial operations in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Korea, and the Netherlands, with more regions to come.

Simone has over 25 years’ experience in financial management and business partnering in the creative industries across producing, touring, venue management, recorded music, artist management and music publishing.

Simone’s early career covered over a decade in the music industry, including music publishing, record company and artist management across Australia, UK and USA. On settling back in Australia Simone followed her passion for theatre and moved into the performing arts at Opera Australia as Finance Director. Whilst there she also managed their extensive recording and broadcast operations, developing it into an award-winning business unit culminating in the groundbreaking opera The Divorce made for TV and film.

Most recently Simone was CFO at AIME Mentoring, a global not-for-profit seeking an end to educational inequity for marginalised youth, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth. During her time there she was constantly captivated by the imagination and wisdom of the next generation.

On the weekends you’ll find Simone by the sea as a volunteer lifeguard on Sydney’s Bondi beach.

Rachelle Gibson – Head of Marketing and Communications at Global Creatures

Rachelle Gibson joined Global Creatures in 2022 as Head of Marketing & Communications where she leads the company’s global strategy across marketing and corporate communications. Her role also encompasses working with Global Creatures’ marketing teams on brand management, sales, partnerships and publicity for Global Creatures’ theatrical productions and its licensees worldwide.

With over 25 years’ experience in the Australian film, television, advertising and entertainment sectors, Rachelle has worked across both public and private industry collaborating with federal and state government screen agencies as well as major commercial partners.

Prior to working at Global Creatures, Rachelle worked in marketing and communication roles at Ausfilm, the Australian Association for National Advertisers, Screen Producers Australia Association, Screen Australia, Omnilab Media, Ambience Entertainment Productions, Digital Pictures (Post), Iloura (VFX), Opera Australia and The Bell Shakespeare Company.

Rachelle is also a trained Yoga teacher and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Rachelle’s favourite play is the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of The Picture of Dorian Grey adapted and directed by Kip Williams.
