The Deputy Company Manager will support and work closely with the Company Manager to be the link between the Producer’s office and the production team, the company and the venue. The Deputy Company Manager will support the Company Manager in the day-to-day management of the production. You will uphold the company’s commitment to its values, culture and its people by promoting an inclusive, safe and healthy workplace.
To be successful in this collaborative role you must have extensive assistant or deputy company management experience in commercial musical theatre touring, personal drive and initiative. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as to work independently to assist in the management of all aspects of the production.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
| Provide support to the Company Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day management of the company and the production. |
| Provide support in the management of employees’ contractual rights and obligations. |
| Provide support in the management of HR administration and issues. |
| Assist with the implementation the company’s WHS and employment policies. |
| Manage workers’ compensation claims and return to work plans. |
| Manage general well-being and company physiotherapy requirements. |
| Coordinate and attend meetings as required. |
| Attend publicity and marketing calls and manage as required. |
| Manage petty cash and any other financial reconciliation. |
| Coordination of company travel and accommodation. |
| Management of company ticketing and house seat needs. |
| Extensive experience in assistant or deputy company management of first class commercial musical theatre. |
| Leadership and people management skills and experience. |
| Written and verbal communication skills. |
| Administrative skills. |
| Sound understanding of theatrical award and enterprise agreements. |
| Sound understanding of theatrical payroll management. |
| Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and self-manage. |
